They rode down the long driveway to the house. Out came Iris (Harold’s mom) first, running toward Harold and Lorilee. Then from around the corner, Robert (Harold’s dad) was riding up on Harold's horse, Lightning. Iris gave Harold a big hug and said, “I'm glad to see you made it home on that thing. You didn't make this beautiful pregnant girl ride all this way, did you?”

Harold said, “Mom, Dad; I would like to introduce you to my wife, Lorilee.”

Robert spoke up real fast and said, “Your wife! Why didn't you tell us, son. We would have planned something big for your wedding.”

Iris said, “We still can. Come on in the house, Lorilee. You have to be hurting after riding that thing all of this way.”

Lorilee said, “Thank you, ma’am; I am a little sore in my back.” Robert and Iris looked at each other and smiled just like they did when they picked Harold up at the orphanage in Boise, Idaho.
